St Andrew's Church in Alresford is in the fortunate position of having a modern building (built in the 1970s) situated in the middle of the village with a new extension and annexe, the Hub, built 2013 . It is a lively, friendly congregation of all ages. We encompass a wide variety of services from a traditional service of said Communion on the first Sunday to the very contemporary monthly Youth Cafe Church in an evening and the Gathering, a new way of church meets every 3 months followed by lunch on a Sunday at 11am. Most of our services, particularly in the morning, make use of modern technology & our music style is mainly contemporary with some traditional hymns and is accompanied by our music group or other musicians. Children and young people are well served by a creche and a Discoverers group for the 3-10s & Pathfinders for 11-14s during the morning service. The older group aged 14-18 meet later on a Sunday evening. The evening services allow even more creativity and are both reflective & challenging.  There is also a youth group for 11-15s on Thursday evenings 6.30 -8pm in the Hub.  There is a BUmps 'n' Babies group on Tuesday mornings at 10.30am and the under 5s & carers, Scramblers, meet on Mondays at 1.45 - 3pm and Ramatazz for primary aged children also on Mondays at 3.15 to 4.30pm both in the Hub.
During the week a number of home groups meet at different times, both day & evening, and similarly a number of groups meet for prayer.  The Hub Home Group for 20s to 30s meets Wednesdays 8pm in the Hub.  Every second Wednesday 10am to 12noon the Internet & Book Cafe meets in the church. There are also monthly support groups for those bereaved, those suffering from dementia & their carers & those with mental health issues.
There are a number of activities & events held - for details see our web-site or notice board. None of these are fund-raising - the costs of running the church are met by the giving of church members.
